Gavin graduated in BA Deaf Studies here at UCLAN, and joined the team in 2005 as a BSL development Project Officer. He is also a BSL tutor and lecturer in the Transnational Signing module which focuses on International Sign, the field in which he has a lot of interest. He enjoys interacting with foreign Deaf people, and participates in the International Deaf community, especially after his year-long student exchange in Finland where he still goes on a regular basis! Gavin loves learning languages and aspires to do further studies on International Sign by studying/working abroad within the Deaf community. His ultimate goal is to achieve a PhD in another country!
